Quileute Legend
Native American Quileute legend suggests that they are descended of wolves. According to legend, a being known alternately as Dokibatt, K’wa’iti, the Trickster, the Transformer and The Changer (with the latter three titles at times embodying the previous two names) created the first Quileute from a wolf that he stumbled upon during his journeys. Dokibatt the Changer, or Transformer, who looms heavy in Pacific Northwest coastal mythology. Originally there were six native societies: for the fisherman, the elk hunter, the whale hunter, the weather predictor, the medicine man, and the warrior (the latter society performed the wolf dance).
Writer Stephenie Meyer would later make minor utilization of the de facto Quileute legends while making her Twilight Saga
In the second book, New Moon, Jacob finds that he, himself, is a werewolf. He, along with many of his Quileute ‘brothers’ are pledged to protect La Push from their sworn enemies, The Cold Ones. Many years ago, they forged a pact with the vampires, which forbidden the Cullens from trespassing on their lands, and granted the two groups to live in the same vicinity in relative peace. This treaty hinged upon the necessity that the Cullens never feed upon human blood.

I am very disappointed in all of you “real” vampyres for you do not even know the proper spelling of the term. It was very interesting to read many of your post. I am surprised that none of you have brought up the old ‘vampyres turn into bats’ concept. For that I am grateful.

I love twilight. Though I am a book person myself. The films came as a surprise to me; when seeing twilight in the cinema I was mildly disapointed – Kristen Stuwart can’t act!!!
She pertrayed Bella as a weak human (which is completely wrong – after all Bella stands up to Vampires and Werewolves).
Of course I read and watch the Twilight Saga for pure pleasure-I don’t believe in Vampires or Werewolves. My favourite charectors in Twilight, New moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn is Jasper; his subtle gift is fascinating to me. And Ilove it when he nearly kills Bella!!!! lol

Eclipse is amazing!!!!!! I saw it with my sister and I’m seeing it again with my best friend next week. It is better than Twilight AND New Moon. Bella is stll awful- but the others are good. Except Jasper’s accent is weird!!!! I love Jackson Rathbone…but he sounded weird!
And WHAT did the make-up artist do to Elizabeth Reaser’s face!!! It made Esme look ancient!!!!!!

okay im new here and reading all your post it started to . . . . it quite frankly started to bore me to death. I am a total fan of the twilight saga and i do believe in all things super natural includong witch craft seeing as to im a witch.
All of you whom claim to be “real vampirs” are very sad. Especially you shadowider. one if any of you really were vampirs you would not so bluntly put such on the internet even if none know your true idenity. Second if any TRUE vampir were to read this i know for a fact they would laugh at all of you who claim to be vampirs and those who wish to be such. Being a vampir is a heart breaking thing.
